Allan Schrier papers, 1930-1987.

The Allan Schrier papers contain a full run of Laboratory Primate Newsletters from 1962 to 1987. There are also submissions and correspondence regarding the Laboratory Primate Newsletters. There are numerous grant applications within the collection for primate experiments such as "Eye Movement of Monkeys during Performance of Visual Tasks" and "Discrimination Learning by Primates." The collection contains voluminous correspondence regarding the International Primatological Society, the International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources, and the International Union of Biological Sciences. Also included in the collection are reports on individual primates, Schrier's Master's thesis, course material, symposia material, correspondence regarding animal welfare and breeding of monkeys, apparatus for measuring and observing eye movements, the Wisconsin General Testing Apparatus procedures and data, and material regarding diabetes research.

Gerald Austin Doyle Jr. was born to Gerald Austin and Adele (Seims) Doyle on September 20, 1922 in Cleveland, Ohio.
